The Shiv Ling of the Kedarnath temple located here is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and one of the four Dhams and Panch Kedars of Uttaranchal in Hinduism. The temple of Shri Kedarnath is a grand and huge temple built at an altitude of 3,413 meters. Even today, the complete truth is not known about how this temple was built at such a height.
