| | How does English influence the Croatian language (27th Jan 23 at 12:37pm UTC) | | It says that young Croatians generally speak English better than most Slavic-speaking countries. It is not only meant for their English knowledge, but they are also proficient in pronunciation. The reason is young Croatian is not equated with the same bracket as their Russian in comparison with pronunciation, and it appears that they are more comfortable in terms of English vowels more than other Slavic countries. Most foreign TV and Movies are subtitled in English. It helps Croatian people to be more familiar with the Croatian language translation . Of late, Croatian people are starting to learn English phrases, particularly when they make discussion points. Furthermore, the sweeping change in technology across the world's length and breadth and common words like hardware and software become cumbersome when translated into Croatian. Hence, people prefer to have English instead. | |
